Hope that song doesn’t get into your head now… sorry if it does. Waltzing Matilda goes though my head constantly here. “Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda… you’ll come a waltzing Matilda with me”…

As I write this, it’s POURING down… hopefully it doesn’t stay like this all weekend. I planned to spend the weekend at the beach or at the pool. I want to get a little more sun before I come home!

Ta – means thank you. I feel like I’m holding something I shouldn’t when someone says that. I think I’ve got the driving on the left side of the road down pat. I have to think about it when I turn sometimes, but basically, I’ve got it. I still turn on the indicator (not blinker) instead of the windscreen wipers (not windshield), because they are switched as well. Once in a blue moon I go to the wrong side of the car and sometimes I even try to get my seatbelt on from the left, not the right.

You should see the motorcycles here… crazy. They weave in and out of traffic and if there is a traffic jam, they just cruise right through everyone or on the shoulder and apparently it’s totally legal. Go figure! You can’t drive and talk on a mobile (not cell) phone here. You can use hands free though. I keep forgetting that and grab my phone to call someone and then remember and put the phone down. I do not want to get a ticket here. Although really, who would I call… as if I have any friends here… haha!

It’s a long weekend here… Monday is Anzac Day, so no work on Monday… even more time to spend by the beach and the pool… yay!

Anyway… sorry for the short update. Nothing exciting has happened since the last update. 8 more sleeps and I’m coming home! I’m going to be staying in Calgary and working from Calgary now until it gets busier in Australia… then I’ll come back and train someone here for a few weeks or a month.
